Blastocyst Biopsy and Tubing Hands-On Training

By the end of the Blastocyst Biopsy and Tubing training, you will be able to:

• Prepare an optimal biopsy workstation setup
• Select suitable blastocysts for biopsy
• Advance their skills on trophectoderm biopsy and tubing techniques
• Perform vitrification and warming of biopsied blastocysts
• Troubleshoot common PGT laboratory challenges
• Monitor and optimize the efficiency of a PGT program

Training Materials

All necessary training materials and equipment are provided. You will have access to:

• Practice Embryos: mouse embryos and blastocysts.
• Micromanipulation Equipment: State-of-the-art inverted microscopes with laser drilling systems, micromanipulators, and biopsy pipettes will be at your disposal, replicating the setup used in IVF clinics.
• Microscopes and stereoscopes: For Blastocyst handling, TE tubing and vitrification
• Culture Media & Dishes: All required culture dishes, media, oil, and tools for embryo handling and cell tubing are included.
• Training Videos & Demonstrations: Concise video presentations and live demonstrations will show each step (from dish preparation to laser technique) before you practice, to advance your learning experience.

Course Program

Day 1 – Theory & Demonstrations (13:00–17:30)

Day 1 is about building the scientific foundation and understand the theory behind PGT.

Day 2 – Intensive Hands-On Laboratory (09:00–16:00)

Day 2 is dedicated entirely to practical training. Under the guidance of our expert instructors, you will practice each step of the biopsy, tubing, vitrification and warming procedures.

A low student-to-instructor ratio is maintained to optimize training experience.

Course Fee: €950 per participant. This fee includes all training materials, use of laboratory equipment, and supplies during the workshop.

What’s included: Tuition for the two-day hands-on course, all practice embryos and lab materials, course manual, and a certificate of attendance upon completion. Lunches and coffee breaks on training days are typically provided as part of the course.

What’s not included: Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and any meals outside of the training sessions (except where specified, such as any group dinner). We can provide guidance on nearby hotels or transportation upon request.
