The Embryolab Academy has successfully completed training sessions in St Petersburg, Russia from 14 to 17 October 2017 for the second consecutive time. Seminars have included scientists from all over Russia (Siberia, Caucasus, Urals, Lake Waikali) to be informed for the latest advances in Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis.
The seminars included a detailed report on:
the latest data of this very dynamically evolving method, expected success rates, groups of people expected to benefit from the implementation of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis.
the concerns arising from the application of advanced methods of genetic analysis.
The seminars were completed with the training of participants in the design and application of the biopsy technique of blastocysts (5th day embryos). This technique gains a significant lead over the other techniques available until the recent past, as it appears to be safer for embryos.
Mrs. Alexia Hatziparasidou, MSc, Sr. Clinical Embryologist and Director of Embryolab, on the occasion of the successful event, said: “Our Academy completes four years of continuous action and presence on a global level. It faithfully serves its primary purpose, to bring together scientists from around the world and train them into new Assisted Reproduction methods. “
