Embryolab Academy travels to St. Petersburg
Embryolab Academy successfully completed its educational seminars which took place for the first time in Russia, St. Petersburg from 21 to 25 April 2017. The seminars were attended by scientists literally coming from all over Russia (from Siberia to Vladivostok) in order to be informed about the latest advances in the Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis.
The scientific interest for the attendees was mostly focused on:
- the most updated data of this so dynamically evolving method,
- the expected success rates,
- the groups of people who are expected to benefit the most,
- the concerns arising from the application of the latest advanced genetic analysis methods.
The seminars were completed with the workshops aiming to train the participants in the design and the application of the biopsy technique on blastocysts (5th day embryos). This technique gains a significant lead over the other techniques available until recently in the past, as it appears to be much safer for the embryos.
Mrs. Alexia Chatziparasidou, on the occasion of the successful event, stated: The Academy counts 4 years of continuous action and presence on a global level. It faithfully serves its primary purpose to bring together scientists from around the world and train them on all new Assisted Reproduction methods.
